About Dr. G

Kristen “Dr. G” Guillory, Ph.D.  is a motivational speaker, professor, blogger, researcher, internet-radio show host, author, and life coach. Her passion for helping others started very early and has continued.  She believes it is important to be a positive role model and let others know that while things might be difficult to keep pushing forward and “Get er Done!”

Having over 250 speaking engagements under her belt, Dr. G wants all to know that change starts from within. Not only will you be sure to laugh, you will be empowered and inspired!

Biographical Overview

 

Kristen “Dr. G” Guillory, a native of Dallas, TX  is a motivational speaker, faculty member at the University of North Texas at Dallas,  president of KSGuillory Enterprises, and host of the radio internet show Word Up with Kev and Dr. G. She is also the chair of the Fabulous Female Expo and co chair of the MALE EXPO. Dr. G is becoming a premier motivational speaker with her most popular topics being No Sex in the City and Do something about it or Shut up! Her passion for helping others started very early and has continued.

She believes it is so important not only to talk the talk but walk the walk. She believes it is important to be a positive role model and let others know that while things might be difficult, to submit and rely on Christ, keep pushing forward and “Get er Done!” Dr. G loves to encourage and empower singles and has over 10 years of experience of working with youth and college age adults.  She has spoken at national, regional, and local conferences and been invited to present internationally. Dr. G serves on many boards and committees throughout the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex and is a frequent guest on radio and internet shows. Her research interests include youth and education, community initiatives, hip-hop trends, spirituality as a support system and the plight of the African American male.   

She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and her masters and PhD from UTA where she was the youngest and only African American in her cohort and graduating class. She graduated with her PhD at 27 and taught her first college class at 24.

 Dr. G is thankful for her amazing family and for all the things the Lord has allowed her to GROW through.

  1. Most assuredly, I’m completely amazed by the wake of Dr. G. This woman is a living testimony of what God does and can do.

    What’s also very impressive is that, here she is, a young lady in 2012, on fire for Jesus, and setting fire to the strongholds of the beast to the point of ashes. In Christ, Dr. G. is most certainly a wonder woman. As God grants us vision and the actuality of having it, our sister is still just getting started. Tough enough! Sure enough! Word!
