Greetings!/ What up?!

Well Greetings/ What up All!

I am Dr. Kristen “Dr. G” Guillory and from time to time I will blog about topics ranging from Christ to poverty to relationships to my day. I love to empower others and want everyone to know that any change or new beginning starts with you! Take one step at a time and Get Er Done!  Each time I blog I will leave you with a “nugget”- a to do item. Todays nugget- Always keep the end goal in mind! I’m sure there is something that we must do, that we don’t want to do–like work, workout, go to school, etc. What can help you during those times when you are so frustrated, you feel like quitting…Think about the end result! Do most people by nature like waking up early to go to work? But the end result is being able to pay bills, possible promotion, additional knowledge and more. Some people like myself, don’t always enjoy working out, but we must focus on the end result-getting into those pair of jeans, becoming healthier, toning up. Regardless of age, school for many of us (high school or college) was not always just a joy. For me, while completing my PhD, I had to look at the end result, otherwise I would say to myself “I already have two degrees.” But I would have to think about why I was getting this degree and that the Lord blessed me with the opportunity and I was motivated to push through.  So always keep the end goal in mind!

Until next time…Empower someone and make someone smile or laugh 🙂

  1. Ooh, I have a theme verse that goes along with this subject perfectly – Galatians 6:9 – And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”

  2. Hello Kristen (Dr. G.). I look forward to seeing what God will do through you and this media. I am so excited about you and your passion. It does a kinda almost old woman’s heart good! Keep going and growing in Him. I have a feeling He (the real Big Papa) has a lot more in store for you. Take care.

  3. Tiki ( this is how I know you) this is a great outreach to touch teen girls and yonng or old women that need that encouraging word to keep there faith on track. I applaud you for this. This is something that I am looking to do..As a young single mother I am going to touch young mothers that want to do right and just need that push to get there. Sometimes the help of someone that has been through your situation is a great outreach to women. So again I applaud you for this blog.
